A leading alternative investment manager with approximately $40 billion in assets under management is seeking a Senior Associate for their Co-Invest Finance team. This role will focus on accounting, reporting, and administration for Co-Invest and General Partnership funds.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for accounting, reporting, and administration of Co-Invest and General Partnership Funds, including quarterly financial statements, capital accounts, and weekly management reporting through Investran.
- Coordinate the year-end audit process, serving as liaison with external auditors and ensuring timely resolution of audit requests.
- Review and analyze financial information for combined reporting, valuation support, and disclosure requirements.
- Draft and review financial statement footnotes, including investment valuation disclosures (ASC 820), fair value hierarchy analysis, and related party disclosures.
- Prepare and review NAV calculations and investor capital account statements.
- Partner closely with the Tax team to deliver accurate capital allocations supporting quarterly estimates and tax payment calculations.
- Review of legal documents, including Limited Partnership Agreements, structure charts, and management services agreements.
- Communicate with investors on a regular basis to provide documents related to capital activity, tax, compliance, and account statements.
- Work with investors to complete ad-hoc reporting requests.
- Collaborate with Business Solutions and FP&A teams to implement system solutions/efficiencies in relation to accounting systems and recurring reporting requests.
- BS in accounting with an advanced degree (CPA strongly preferred)
- 4-7 years professional experience including public accounting, preferably focusing on alternative investment asset managers
- Understanding or experience with Private Equity or other alternative investment structures preferred
- Experience with accounting software preferred (Investran experience a plus)
- Advanced Excel user with a high level of attention-to-detail
