Reference Data Operations Specialist

Company Overview:

A global alternative investment management firm with a multi-strategy investment approach is seeking a Reference Data Operations Specialist to join its Operations & Middle Office team. This role focuses on managing the firm's Global Security Master and ensuring accurate security setup and data quality.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate creation and maintenance of all tradable securities, focusing on bank debt instruments in the Global Security Master
• Oversee Data Quality control checks via system and business validations
• Create and maintain procedures, workflows, and controls to drive operational efficiency
• Liaise and resolve ad hoc issues from internal and external clients and data vendors
• Work with Development on requirements and assist in designing new processes, workflows, and controls
• Spearhead evaluation and implementation of new vendors and products in the Bank Debt/Leveraged Loan space
• Oversee bank loan lifecycle events and ensure timely Security Master updates
  
  

Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of experience in financial services, ideally in operations at a broker-dealer or asset management firm
• Strong knowledge of financial instruments, specifically in Bank Debt/Leveraged Loans, Private Debt, and other Less Liquid Credit Instruments
• Experience with Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Wall Street Office, ClearPar, Markit (S&P Global), ICE, and other Data Vendors
• Ability to implement and maintain new systems, procedures, and controls
• Understanding of SQL queries and proficient in MS Excel
  
  

Compensation: Salary: $130,000 – $175,000, Plus Bonus
