AVP Investment Accounting

Company Overview:

A global investment firm with approximately $504 billion in assets under management is seeking a candidate to support their Investment Accounting Center of Excellence. This role will focus on accounting operations and investment reconciliation to ensure accuracy and integrity of investment balances.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support the management of a team of investment accounting professionals responsible for GAAP and STAT investment controllership functions.
• Oversee daily, monthly, and quarterly investment accounting operations, including reconciliation of investment balances between Clearwater and the general ledger.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, certifications, and flux analyses across multiple accounting bases.
• Execute and review month-end close procedures, including analytical reviews of investment balances and validation of investment income.
• Act as a liaison between Investment Accounting and Investment Operations to ensure proper instruction and accounting for complex investment transactions.
• Drive initiatives aimed at enhancing investment accounting processes, data consistency, and operational efficiency.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in accounting or finance; CPA preferred.
• 8 years of relevant experience in investment accounting and reporting for insurance companies under GAAP and STAT.
• Knowledge of SOX controls and public company experience.
• Excellent computer skills, including MS Excel and PeopleSoft platforms; experience with Clearwater Analytics preferred.
  
  

Compensation: Salary: $150,000 – $180,000, Plus Bonus
