What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Lander Medical Clinic?
The Clinic is looking for a Full Time Medical Assistant to join our Clinical team! This position would be 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday - Friday, with an hour for lunch and would be working in both our Lander (2 days per week) and Riverton (3 days per week) clinics.
Responsibilities include taking vitals, performing in-take procedures, obtaining medical history, and administering medication, and giving vaccinations as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient care and treatment
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records
Experience:
- Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology preferred but not required
Skills:
- Knowledge of medical terminology and documentation practices preferred
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and administrative staff
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate data entry
- Ability to provide compassionate care to patients in a hospital or clinical setting
