STEAKHOUSE FOOD RUNNER

Summary Description:

Food Runner supports steakhouse service operations by preparing, stocking, and maintaining back food stations, assisting servers during service, and ensuring timely delivery of food items and guest requests. This role is responsible for proper setup, breakdown, sanitation, and food rotation to ensure efficiency, quality, and food safety.

Essential Job Duties:

• Set up and maintain the back food station, including the baked potato station, prior to service
• Prepare butter daily and stock stations as needed
• Assist servers by setting trays and running food items as they are prepared
• Ensure food items are delivered promptly and accurately
• Gather and deliver guest-requested items as they become available
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned stations throughout service
• Set up stations in preparation for the following day.
• Set up and maintain the toast station
• Assist with butter preparation for the toast station
• Properly break down and clean the toast station at the end of service

Job requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Effective time management and multitasking skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry trays, pans, and supplies
• Comfortable working around hot equipment and food
• Other physical requirements include but are not necessarily limited to reaching, grasping, stretching, and kneeling.
