Nurse Practitioner – Nephrology
Location: Goshen, NY, New Windsor, NY
Schedule: Full-Time
Role Highlights
- Provide outpatient nephrology care (CKD, HTN, electrolyte disorders)
- Perform inpatient nephrology consults and hospital rounding
- Conduct daily dialysis rounding for acute & chronic patients
- Order and interpret labs and imaging
- Collaborate with nephrologists, dialysis staff, and care teams
- Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans
- Educate patients and families on kidney disease management
- Maintain accurate, timely medical documentation
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Active New York State Nurse Practitioner license
- National certification (ANCC or AANP)
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing
- Valid DEA license
- Minimum 2 years of nephrology experience required
- Experience with outpatient, inpatient, and dialysis care
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
Preferred
- Hospital rounding and dialysis management experience
- EMR familiarity
- BLS & ACLS certification
