Mechanical Technician

Contract Role | Mechanical Technician in Auburn ME
6 months contract with possible extension
Pay Range: 40 -60/hour on w2

Job Description:
Experienced maintenance planner or other relative experience to: Assist with doing all the initial IQ / OQ checks to ensure that equipment is installed as required and all devices are installed in the proper orientation, Assist with checking all mechanical aspects of the equipment (Alignment, torque tests, guards in place, free moving parts), Assist with developing and documenting centerlines, Assist with developing AM / PM Plans and documentation (Maintenance Plans), Assist with developing CIL's, Assist with developing re-build instructions for equipment, Full understanding of LOTO (Lockout / Tagout) requirements and working around energized equipment, Understanding of production, packaging and conveying systems. Strong mechanical aptitude and/ or engineering degree/experience.

Must Have:

• 10 years of high speed sewing machine rebuild experience
• Technical Mastery - Able to follow work instructions and standards to tear down and rebuild complex sewing machine machinery.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve sewing defects. Ability to coach and train others to defined centerlines and settings

Nice to have:

• Experienced mechanical sewing machine rebuilder to:
• Assist with tear down and rebuilding of high speed sewing machines used in the production process, Assist with setting up equipment to centerline and assessing set up of equipment on the production lines,
• Assist with all mechanical aspects of parts and equipment associated with the sewing machines (Alignment, torque tests, tensions, guards in place, free moving parts)
• Assist with training and qualifications of new sewing resources learning how to rebuild sewing machines, Assist with standard updates and improvements as needed
• Ability to trouble shoot sewing machines in productions for sources of defects and centerline outages, Full understanding of LOTO (Lockout / Tagout) requirements and working around energized equipment.
