Exciting opportunity for field experts! We’re seeking a Construction Methods Specialist III to drive the adoption of world-class transmission, distribution, and substation standards across our Rhode Island operations.
About the Job
Contract:Â 12 months (potential extension)
Pay Range: $58.67–$66.67/hr (W2, all inclusive)
Schedule: Hybrid blend – field, office, remote
Location:Â Providence, RI
Your Impact:
- Develop, standardize, and communicate safe, reliable construction methods for TD&S projects.
- Partner with field SMEs to create practical procedures, checklists, job aids, and training content.
- Benchmark best practices and drive innovation through process improvement and technology deployment.
- Coordinate reviews with safety, standards, and training teams to ensure new equipment is operated and maintained as designed.
- Lead equipment mock-ups, simulations, and stakeholder education.
- Represent the team on industry committees and support new grid initiatives.
What You’ll Bring:
- Five years’ electric utility construction experience (Journeyman or field work) OR BS in technical discipline 2 years’ electric utility field experience.
- Expertise in transmission, distribution, substations, or secondary networks.
- Strong technical writing, verbal communication, and facilitation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to lead process improvements, build consensus, and deliver training.
