Partner with our tools and Materials Process & Physics resources to refine and improve a baseline ontology and data model for Process Specifications (from PDF/XML) including:
• Taxonomy Development
• Survey a wide range of Process Specifications and evaluate and assess the optimal way to standardize content. Relaxing and tightening refactoring requirements where appropriate. Initial use cases:
• Expansion of *** Process Specifications Ontology to identify process parameters
• Expansion of *** Process Specifications Ontology to capture requirements in flag notes, tables, and all document sections
• Partner with our tools and IT teams to develop a data model for *** Process Specifications
• Partner with our tools and IT teams to provide requirements to develop/enhance our tools for authoring and content management of the refactored data
Skills Required
• Preferred familiarity with Engineering data, basic understanding of engineering lifecycle, specifically process specifications
• Proficiency in understanding structured representations of knowledge, including conceptual object models and physical data models
• Proficiency in Extensible Markup Language (XML), Resource Description Framework (RDF) and graph databases
• Comfortable operating in an agile cadence with evolving requirements and demonstrate flexibility
• Ability to devise innovative solutions when faced with unique situations that deviate from past experiences
• A solid understanding of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques is essential for transitioning from document-based to model-based requirements.
