We are seeking a Senior Airworthiness & Regulatory Engineer to join a high-impact Safety & Compliance Investigations team supporting commercial aircraft programs. In this role, you will lead Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations related to regulatory compliance, ensuring the highest standards of aircraft safety and certification are maintained.
This position offers unique exposure across the entire aircraft lifecycle, working closely with engineering teams, leadership, and regulatory authorities to resolve complex compliance issues and prevent recurrence.
Key Responsibilities
Lead RCCA investigations for regulatory compliance issues including FAA Letters of Investigation, compliance actions, and airworthiness non-conformances
Apply structured methodologies such as 5-Whys, Fishbone, and Problem Solving Model (PSM) to identify root causes and corrective actions
Partner with cross-functional teams across Systems, Structures, Propulsion, and Avionics to drive investigations and resolution
Coordinate with regulatory authorities and internal certification teams to ensure compliance with airworthiness standards
Develop and implement containment actions, corrective actions, and prevention strategies
Prepare detailed investigation reports aligned with regulatory expectations and ODA requirements
Communicate investigation progress and outcomes to senior leadership and stakeholders
Contribute to continuous improvement of safety, compliance processes, and tools
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related field
9 years of relevant experience in aerospace, aviation, or safety/regulatory engineering
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with RCCA tools (5-Whys, Fishbone, PSM)
Knowledge of FAA regulations, certification processes, and ODA procedures (8100.15)
Experience working with FAA or other regulatory agencies
Background in aircraft systems (Flight Controls, Hydraulics, Avionics, Fuels, etc.) or Systems Integration
Experience supporting commercial aircraft programs
Pilot license or A&P certification (nice to have)
Salary : $80 - $85
