Lead root cause corrective action (RCCA) investigations for regulatory compliance issues in Commercial Airplanes to ensure product safety and certification.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $60 to $80/per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.

As an Airworthiness & Regulatory Engineer, you will:
Lead root cause corrective action (RCCA) investigations for regulatory compliance issues in Commercial Airplanes to ensure product safety and certification.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead functional engineering teams through structured RCCA investigations for FAA issues, compliance actions, disclosures, audits, and airworthiness non-compliances.
- Coordinate with management, executives, suppliers, and ODA to align on investigation status, root causes, containment actions, and preventive measures.
- Develop problem statements, systemic root causes, verification actions, and investigation write-ups meeting regulatory standards.
- Partner with enterprise groups to improve processes and tools for future client readiness.
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
- 5 to 10 years of related work experience or equivalent.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact with senior management, technical peers, airlines, and regulatory agencies.
- Skill in leading, influencing, and mentoring diverse teams.
- Initiative to lead cross-functional teams and complex projects.
- Ownership of work activities for accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness.
- Knowledge of RCCA tools like 5-Whys, Fishbone, or Problem Solving Model.
- 1 years in commercial airplane operation, certification, safety requirements, or procedures.
- Familiarity with FAA regulatory compliance and ODA procedures (e.g., 8100.15).
- 1 years working with FAA or other regulatory agencies.
- 1 years in commercial airplane systems design/analysis (e.g., flight controls, hydraulics, avionics) or systems integration.
- Pilot’s license or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license.
