Position: Assistant Pool Manager
Reports to: Pool Manager/Assistant General Manager
CLUB INFORMATION:
Founded in 1900, the Lancaster Country Club is a highly ranked Platinum Club of America and is one of the finest private clubs in all of Pennsylvania. Facilities include an 18-hole championship golf course, 9-hole golf course, 9 tennis courts, 3 platform tennis courts, aquatic, and fitness facilities, along with two separate dining establishments located in both our Clubhouse and Activities Pavilion. We are committed to offering the best services for our 500 members, their families, and their guests in an atmosphere of warm congeniality.
LCC was recently the host of the 2024 U.S. Women's Open Championship, which was incredibly successful and brought tremendous accolades to the club. The club has become more family-oriented, featuring events and amenities for every demographic while focusing on ever increasing programs for youth, including a summer camp, swim team, youth social events as well as extensive junior golf and tennis programs.
POSITION PROFILE:
The pool will officially open Memorial Day weekend and remain open through the summer season until Labor Day. The pool is open Monday-Sunday. Our Assistant Pool Manager will be responsible for managing all coordination, training and guidance of pool staff, safe, clean, and appealing club swimming facilities.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITY:
- Supervise lifeguards, pool members, pool events, and other activities.
- Utilize the POS system to accurately bill member accounts for swim lessons and guests.
- Direct cleaning of the pool and upkeep of all pool equipment and facilities, pool chairs, diving boards, showers, locker rooms, and pool office.
- Provide necessary guidance and training for staff.
- Enforce club and pool rules of safety and conduct.
- Communicate his/her schedule with management in a timely manner.
- Work with events team and manager to plan and coordinate pool events.
- Ensure that all membership bills and swim lessons are entered correctly by end of each day/week.
- Ensure that the swim team has everything for meets/oversee swim meet day setup.
- Assist Pool Manager with scheduling duties & swim lesson coordination.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a certified lifeguard and certified in First Aid/CPR/AED.
- Must have or be willing to get PA Child Clearances.
- Good communication and people skills required.
- Must be comfortable around children and families.
- Previous lifeguarding and supervisory experience required.
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
