Job Summary:

This position exists for the purposes of providing leadership, administration, and teaching within the Master of Divinity program.

 

Employee Type: Faculty 12 Month

Status: Full-time/Exempt

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff.
  • Oversees the daily workflow.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Job Tasks – to determine specific tasks required of the position.

PROGRAM ADMINISTRATION

In cooperation with the Program Chair for Graduate Studies:

  • Provide administrative oversight of the Master of Divinity program.
  • Provide direction and support to the directors of the Master of Arts in Biblical Studies and Master of Arts in Ministry programs.
  • Collaborate with department chairs and program directors in curriculum development and program improvement.
  • Oversee the scheduling, implementation, and facilitation of Master of Divinity courses.
  • Provide direction and support for professors teaching Master of Divinity courses.
  • Assist in the preparation of required documents for program maintenance and development including but not limited to reports, proposals, catalog content, website content, advertising materials, program brochures, curriculum sheets, and assessment.
  • Provide leadership for strategic program development.
  • Serve as internal liaison with other departments to enhance communication and working processes related to Master of Divinity, Master of Arts in Biblical Studies, and Master of Arts in Ministry programs.
  • Provide leadership for strategic partnerships with external organizations for the purpose of developing the Master of Divinity, Master of Arts in Biblical Studies, and Master of Arts in Ministry programs.

 

FACULTY ROLE

  • Serve as a ranked faculty member participating in the School of Bible & Ministry meetings, faculty meetings, and on committees as appropriate.
  • Attendance at all-employee, School of Bible & Ministry meetings, awards ceremonies, and graduation is required
  • Serve as faculty mentor to provide academic advising to prospective and enrolled students.

 

STUDENT SERVICES

In cooperation with the Program Chair for Graduate Studies:

  • Assist in the design and implementation of student recruitment methods and processes.
  • Assist in the student admission process.
  • Assist in the maintenance of records for tracking prospective student contracts.
  • Monitor student progress through programs.
  • Serve as a liaison and advocate for master’s students in gaining needed academic, technology, financial and guidance services.
  • Assist students in course selection and registration as necessary.
