Job Summary:
This position exists for the purpose of supporting the facilities supervisor in primarily meeting the needs of the college as well as various general maintenance duties.

Physical Requirements:
The physical ability to use the body in primary type skills necessary to perform duties such as, but not limited to, the following:
- Heavy lifting, carrying, and reaching high places.
- Working on roofs, ladders, and scaffolds.
- Ability to work in confined spaces such as attics and basements.
- Proficient use of hand & power tools.
- Experience operating scissor lift, articulating lift & snowplowing preferred.
Personal Qualities - The ability to identify personal strengths, weaknesses, skills, and limitations and to use this understanding profitably.

Education and Experience:
- Associates degree or High school diploma.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience preferred in facility maintenance position. Preferably in an educational setting.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Technical
- Troubleshoot and repair of lighting and other electrical components.
- Repair and installation of various types of plumbing fixtures.
- Ability to read and interpret as-built plans.
- Repair and maintain drywall/paint, flooring, and door components.
- Troubleshoot and repair of HVAC systems preferred.
Organizational
- Ability to supervise and delegate tasks to student workers.
- Maintain building inventory.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Perform and work closely with other members of Physical Plant and College staff. Assist in other duties whenever called upon as needed for the good and welfare of the total college ministry.
