Summary
To implementation and management of the Company’s safety and workers compensation programs to ensure compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA and all applicable local, state and federal regulatory requirements.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation and training.
To implementation and management of the Company’s safety and workers compensation programs to ensure compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA and all applicable local, state and federal regulatory requirements.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
- Analyzes work environments and designs programs to control, eliminate and prevent disease and injury by conducting safety inspections and hazard assessments.
- Develops safety policies, training programs and materials, tracks training requirements and certifications.
- Prepares and maintains all safety records including training, accident and near-miss investigations, OSHA logs, permits, checklists, safety audits and walk-through reports and other documentation and acts as liaison with government agencies.
- Responsible for coordinating the medical management of Workers Compensation cases, acquiring return-to-work documentation and coordinating modified duty strategies.
- Manages distribution of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Conducts periodic fire and emergency evacuation drills.
- Chairs the Safety Committee and conducts monthly meetings.
- Conducts new-hire employee safety orientation.
- Additional tasks, duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Additional Duties, as assigned.
