The Role
As the Payroll Coordinator, you will take ownership of all aspects of the payroll cycle. This is an anticipated vacancy beginning in May 2026. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Payroll Processing: Managing the full biweekly payroll cycle for all District employees.
- Benefits Administration: Coordinating benefit deductions and leave calculations.
- Retirement Reporting: Managing contributions and reporting for the Pennsylvania Public School Employees' Retirement System (PSERS).
- Compliance: Ensuring all recordkeeping meets state and federal audit standards.
- Experience: Preferred two (2) years of professional experience in payroll or bookkeeping.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel). CSIU-FIS experience is highly preferred.
- Attention to Detail: An unwavering commitment to accuracy and the ability to handle sensitive, confidential information with discretion.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to assist staff with payroll and benefit inquiries.
- Independence: The ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Hourly Range: $24.07 $33.70 (commensurate with experience).
- Schedule: Full-time, 12-month position.
