Job Description Summary

Assist the Operation Services Manager in the scheduling, procurement, warehousing, forecasting and transportation for plant locations. Assist in achieving targeted customer service levels with a minimum investment in inventories and distribution costs. Lead all system activities for the warehouse

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Individuals in this position must:
  • Follow all plant safety policies and procedures. Be actively involved in safety, participate in safety programs, engaged in safety activities, perform risk assessments and demonstrate ownership as well as leadership in personal safety and the safety of other team members.
  • Maintain an accurate Warehouse Management System (WMS) by researching and fixing errors that have occurred.
  • Collaborate with inventory accounting to reconcile ASI and Manifest with ASC.
  • Collaborate with Lamb Weston IT department to resolve any WMS issues that may arise.
  • Attend monthly meetings with ASC vendor to resolve deficiencies.
  • Prepare itemized statements, bills or invoices and record amounts due for items purchased or services rendered.
  • Coordinate with external regulatory agencies on inventories.
  • Maintain Item Master list in ASC program to ensure all items are in the system
  • Accurately record and process product holds.
  • Monitor 32 radio frequency units, trouble shoot issues when necessary and escalate them to vendor when needed.
  • Research and locate technology for the warehouse operation.
  • Utilize capacity optimization for the site and 3PL locations to support LW needs. (Potato/Vegetables)
  • Assist in the management of vegetable deployment processes.
  • Optimize transportation opportunities in all forms (drop trailer, container, railroad, convention truck, etc)
  • Directly support Project Transformation implementation, SAP at site and potentially external sites.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining site matrices for truck and rail activity to include cost management.
  • Assist in developing cost savings by leading/participation in special projects and continuously improving warehouse process
  • Actively participate in Lamb Weston Operating Culture (LOC).
  • Demonstrate servant leadership by resourcing others to support success.
  • Assist in the management platform red pallet program and prospects for more viable pallet options
  • Provide tracking and understanding of Key Performance Indicators, Gap Analysis, and assist in creating action plans to resource leadership team’s success.
  • Ability to learn and work within SAP, ASC TRAC, ASI, and Alchemy systems.
  • Support site Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and budgetary processes
  • Perform any other duties as assigned
Basic & Preferred Qualifications
  • Must have excellent computer software skills.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in warehouse management systems preferred. Knowledge in ASCTrac, and/or SAP preferred
  • Knowledge of ASI and Manifest a plus.
  • Electronic Data Interface (EDI) experience preferred
  • 1-2 years’ experience in radio frequency units (RF Scan guns)
  • General knowledge of warehouse functions which may include shipping, receiving, scheduling and reconciling.
  • Problem Solving- identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully; work well in group problem solving situations.
  • Interpersonal Skills- must be able to work in groups with the ability to speak/teach/train all members of the Boardman Center team.
  • Oral Communication- Ability to speak in front of groups, listen and ask questions to gain clarification, respond well to questions, and participate in meetings.
  • Written Communication- Write clearly and informatively with the ability to interpret written information.
  • Leadership- Exhibit confidence in self and others; inspire and motivate others to perform well.
  • Self-directed – Work independently and as a team player, be organized, and plan ahead.
  • Read, understand, and obey all plant rules and practice safety as outlined in the employee handbook.
  • Be knowledgeable of the potential hazards and safety procedures associated with the task being performed.
  • Actively practice and abide by all Company work, safety, and personal hygiene rules and regulations as outlined in the employee handbook.
  • Ability to read, write legible, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Must actively practice and abide by all company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and general hygiene regulations as outlined in the employee handbook
