- 241 licensed beds
- Level 3 Trauma
- Teaching Hospital? No
- Certified Chest Pain Center
- Stroke Center
- Unit Information:
- Beds: 32
- Minimum Years of Experience required? 18 months PCU RN experience
- Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
- Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
- Could see any patient not requiring mechanical ventilation – CHF, Dysrhythmia, Chest Pain work up, Stroke, Abdominal illnesses and infections, Respiratory illness, Diabetes, AKI/CKD, ETOH withdrawal, IVDA, etc.
- Patient Ratios:
- RN: 1:4 is most common; could possibly go to 1:5 depending on acuity
- Required Licensure & Certifications:
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Skills required:
- Experience with traches, cardiac gtt experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, blood products, wound care/dressing changes, management of central lines
- Support within the Department:
- CNA - ADL’s
- Receptionist/HUC? Dayshift only
- Charge nurse – Resource to assist with all nursing care
- Phlebotomy? Yes, other than nurse draws
- IV/VAT Team
- RT, 24/7
- Hospitalist, 24/7
- Intensivist, 24/7
- Telemetry monitoring – bedside and nurses station
- Technology/Equipment:
- EMR: EPIC
- IV Pump: Alaris
- Med dispensing: Omnicell
- Monitors: Phillips
- Floating:
- Within region and scope of practice
- Will be required to float per region needs – will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice – DECLINE if not agreeable

- Orientation (facility and unit):
- NEO
- 2 days departmental
- Scheduling:
- Weekend rotation: every other
- No call
- Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
- RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays – must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours
- Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks
