Patient Services Representative
Job Summary: Lam Dermatology in Norman is searching for a Patient Services Representative (PSR) to manage front desk operations and coordinate patient check-in and check-out. Duties include greeting patients upon arrival, answering phones, registering patients, scheduling appointments, managing referrals, registering and contacting referrals, and serve as a point of contact for general administrative questions. The PSR will also be responsible for verifying insurance information, collecting co-payments, and maintaining the general appearance of the waiting room.
Minimum Qualifications: Candidate must have a least a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience working as a PSR in a physician's office is preferred, although not required. Ideal candidates must be willing to work well with others in a team environment, be able to type well, have basic Microsoft Office knowledge, and be willing to learn to use practice management and electronic medical record software. Applicant must be friendly and welcoming and be able to multi-task.
Preferred Qualifications: One to two years of experience as a PSR in a dermatology office setting is preferred but not necessary.
Physical Demands: Physical movement in filing, bending, typing (data entry), walking, occasional heavy lifting (up to 20 lbs).
