Description: Assistant Treasurer
Job Summary: TheAssistant Treasurer supports the financial operations of Lakota Local Schools by assisting with budgeting, accounting, payroll, financial reporting, and compliance.
This role ensures accuracy in financial processes, maintains fiscal integrity, and upholds state and federal regulations governing school finance. Working collaboratively with the
Chief Financial Officer, school administrators, and external partners, the Assistant Treasurer plays a key role in financial oversight, resource management, and operational efficiency
in support of the district's educational mission.The Assistant Treasurer serves as a key resource for investment management while ensuring adherence to generally
accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and related governmental regulations.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
Valid Ohio School Business Official or School Treasurer License (or ability to obtain).
Minimum of three (3) years, five (5 ) years preferred, of related accounting and financial reporting experience.
Experience with financial audits and compliance monitoring.
Valid driver's license.
Working Conditions: 8 hours per day, 5 days per week and 260 days per year based on a school year calendar, 1 FTE.
