Assistant Treasurer Payroll
Position Details
Reports To: Treasurer
Contract Length: 260 Days
Hours: 8 Hours Per Day
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Position Summary
Responsible for accurately processing and maintaining all aspects of the district's payroll operations and providing timely and accurate compensation for all employees while maintaining confidentiality and effectively communicating with district staff and external entities.
Qualifications
1. Experience with payroll processing, accounting, bookkeeping, or financial recordkeeping.
2. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel and payroll software systems.
3. Ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy while handling sensitive information.
4. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
5. Ability to meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Previous payroll experience in an Ohio public school district or governmental entity.
2. Experience with Ohio State Software/USPS payroll systems.
3. Knowledge of:
State Teacher Retirement System
School Employee Retirement System
Payroll tax reporting
Collective bargaining agreements
Public sector payroll procedures
Experience with HR Kiosk or electronic timekeeping systems preferred.
