As a Kid Zone Assistant, you’ll engage with students before and after school—leading educational and enjoyable activities while ensuring their safety and well-being. The best part? Your Role Will Include:
- Supervising and engaging with large and small groups of children in a variety of settings, including classrooms, cafeterias, gyms, computer labs, playgrounds, and on field trips.
- Supporting children with a variety of needs.
- Overseeing students during transitions, breakfast, lunch, and snack times.
- Assisting the Kid Zone Instructor with preparing and implementing the daily curriculum and activities.
- Maintaining a safe and welcoming environment by setting up, cleaning, and storing supplies and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum age 18 with a high school diploma.
- Training or experience working with children in group and supervisory settings.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- Basic academic competencies to provide tutorial support when needed.
Salary and Benefits:
- $18.68 – $22.46 per hour.
- Paid time off, 12 paid holidays per year.
- Position follows the school year calendar, from September to June, with a total of 176 days field trip days.
- Benefits are available for employees working 30 hours per week.

- Eastview Elementary, 7:00 am - 10:00 am
- John F. Kennedy Elementary, 7:00 am - 10:00 am
- Lakeview Elementary, 7:00 am – 9:30 am & 3:00 pm - 5:30 pm (Split Shift)
