Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
- Operate square system to process transactions efficiently and accurately
- Manage cash handling, cashiering, and basic math calculations during busy service periods
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation areas and café space
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about products, and provide exceptional customer service
- Handle food handling responsibilities including food safety practices, food preparation, and serving food items
- Manage time effectively to ensure quick service during peak hours while maintaining quality standards
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or strong coffee knowledge is required; enthusiasm for learning is essential
- Familiarity with POS systems such as square is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
