Outside Sales Representative
The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for promoting the products and services of the company while helping clients achieve their goals by building and maintaining close relationships with outside distributors.
Responsibilities
- Schedules sales appointments and actively follow-up on phone calls, emails, text messages from your assigned accounts
- Prepares for client appointments by conducting account research, organizing sales samples and marketing materials
- Delivers sales aids and samples for proper merchandising of products offered by the company
- Listens to customers and proactively find solutions that meet their business needs
- Develops a strong knowledge of our active account base and create and implement strategies that build lasting business relationships
- Provides hands-on explanations and training of new or updated products and services and replaces marketing materials/samples when needed
- Communicates effectively with remodeling contractors, builders, and interior designers to ensure their expectations are being met
- Attends and networks at meetings and events held by the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA), Milwaukee NARI, and the Metropolitan Builder’s Association (MBA)
- Plans and participates in hosting showroom events to build strong account relationships and increase brand awareness
- Provides reporting and/or documentation related to your assigned accounts as requested to Sales Leadership
- Participates in ongoing training to achieve expert knowledge of all product lines
- Provides service and value beyond the client’s expectations while effectively promoting our products and services in-person to new and established accounts
Qualifications
- Previous experience within an outside sales or business development capacity
- Previous experience in the building industry, interior design, sales and customer service is helpful
- Strong ability to actively listen, acknowledge and calmly respond to questions from clients
- Demonstrates critical thinking, good decision-making skills, strong organizational skills, attention to detail and time management
- Has functional knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Teams and OneDrive
Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
