Division Controller
The Division Controller will be responsible for maintaining and safeguarding the company’s assets with regard to financial reports which accurately reflect the manufacturing facilities’ financial condition and ensure that proper internal controls and policies are coordinated with corporate policy.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that all plant P&L and balance sheet accounts are properly maintained to accurately reflect the financial position and the performance of the plants within the division.
- Ensure that all assets are properly maintained and procedures are in place which control the movement of inventories through the established reporting system thus providing accountability for assets.
- Manage all areas of plant accounting, including Payroll, Cost, Inventory, Payables, Tooling and General Ledger.
- Monitor the billing and credit processing performed through the Customer Service Department.
- Analyze and interpret financial reports for plant management and the corporate & business unit management’s use.
- Establish and maintain internal controls in order to facilitate reporting and recordkeeping.
- Manage the standard cost system to properly reflect the plant variations and provide accurate product quotes for new business.
- Coordinate all phases of standard cost development and special accounting projects to assure proper costs are recovered and profits are realized.
- Coordinate and prepare the annual budget for the division with plant management, corporate manager, and business unit management involvement.
- Coordinate plant MIS functions.
- Serve on a project or permanent teams as required to address special issues or problems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with 7 years of manufacturing experience. MBA, CPA a plus.
- Thorough knowledge of manufacturing accounting principles
- Must be familiar with all Corporate financial guidelines and policies, GAAP, and IAS
- Accounting systems including general ledger, payroll, cost accounting, MRP, ERP, budgeting and financial reporting. Plex experience a plus.
- 25% travel required
Salary : $130,000 - $160,000
