What are the responsibilities and job description for the Detailer position at Lakeside Marina?
DETAILER
Hours: 40 – 45 hours per week
Reports to: Service Manager thru Detailing Manager
The following outline of a job description is to serve as a guide for expected job performance. It is not intended to limit individual initiative. Lakeside Marina reserves the right to add or delete job responsibilities.
FUNCTIONS:
- Keep new and used product on display clean
- Clean customer’s product after repairs
- Perform basic housekeeping chores on facilities
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Clean and inspect all new product
- Detail all sold product
- Clean service product as directed by Service Writer
- Keep area clean and free of debris
- Collect and dispose of trash on a daily basis
- Keep cost of cleaning supplies to a minimum
- Notify Management of any broken or missing parts on any new or used product
- Greet customers in a friendly manner while on the yard
- Assist Service Department in various ways as requested
ACCOUNTABILITY:
- Customer satisfaction score on sales surveys regarding cleanliness
- Overall condition of new and used boats on display
- Monthly expense for cleaning supplies
- Self motivation – staying busy
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Good physical health
- Ability to spend all day outside in the sun
- Ability to work well with others
BEHAVIOR TRAITS:
- Punctual and dependable
- Self motivated
- Gets along well with others
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT:
- Ability to learn more about the marine industry
- Ability to advance into Detailing Manager position if it is available
- Ability to show good work habits and move into the service rigging and technician fields as positions come available
