Lakeside Manufacturing - America's premier stainless steel utility cart manufacturer - is looking for a Sales Design Manager to lead our cafeteria layout design and estimating team. Since 1946, we've been delivering innovative stainless-steel solutions for moving, storing, dispensing, and merchandising in the foodservice industry.
This on-site role is located in West Allis, WI. This key position will coach a team of 3–5 Sales Designers while collaborating closely with customers, engineering, and production to bring creative, customized cafeteria service line solutions to life.
What You'll Do
- Lead and mentor a team of Sales Designers in creating tailored cafeteria layouts
- Partner with clients to understand needs and propose innovative solutions
- Coordinate with production and engineering to ensure smooth project execution
- Improve design processes using tools like Excel, NetSuite, and CRM platforms
- Represent Lakeside at trade shows and customer site visits (≤ 25% travel)
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's in design, engineering, or business (preferred)
- Experience leading creative and technical design teams
- Skilled in reading/interpreting specs, quoting, and solving design challenges
- Passion for customer collaboration and bringing visions to life
