Description
This position requires leading and managing the sales team, developing sales strategies, and driving revenue growth. Achieving sales targets, building and maintaining customer relationships, and expanding market presence are required. This person should have a strong background in sales, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for the beverage industry.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Sales Budget Management:
• Collaboratively develop and manage the sales and expense budgets.
• Provide input for pricing strategies, programs, and discounts to optimize sales.
Sales Strategy Execution:
• Achieve market execution of sales strategies and tactics developed by brand development team and supplier partners.
• Identify opportunities, customers, and product positioning strategies to drive revenue growth.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay updated on industry trends and gain a competitive edge.
• Manage communication flow between sales force and sales leadership.
Team Leadership and Management:
• Recruit, hire, and train an effective sales force.
• Lead, motivate, and coach the sales team to achieve individual and team sales targets.
• Set performance goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
• Develop and implement training programs to enhance the sales team's product knowledge and selling skills.
• Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, promoting open communication and knowledge sharing.
Customer Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and supplier partners.
• Identify customer needs and preferences, providing solutions that meet their requirements.
• Address customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Sales Forecasting and Reporting:
• Monitor sales performance, analyze sales data, and generate sales reports for management.
• Aid purchasing with sales forecasting and demand planning to ensure optimal inventory levels and timely order fulfillment.
• Utilize CRM tools and systems to track sales and market activities.
Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
• Minimum of bachelor’s degree in related field preferred or equivalent professional work experience.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in sales.
• Experience managing a sales team.
• Must have a demonstrated record of success in sales.
• Direct sales training and experience in the wholesale industry required.
• Ability to independently manage and motivate a team.
• Exhibits leadership traits in a dynamic and results-oriented way.
