What are the responsibilities and job description for the Night Auditor position at Lakeside Hotel Casino?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – Other duties may be assigned:
Responsible for checking customers in and out of hotel rooms through the hotel computer system.
Handle incoming phone inquiries and accurately orchestrates the reservations process.
Handling customer's questions/concerns/requests/and complaints.
Performs the night audit, verifies credit cards, phone charges and payment methods.
Balance end-of-shift work and cash drawer.
Can demonstrate understanding of the procedures of the Hotel's Emergency Response Plan. Adhere to guest room key control procedures.
Adhere to credit policies and procedures, including credit card authorization, direct bill accounts, check-cashing, cash-payment, etc.
Balance, investigate, analyze and correct any out-of-balance accounts accurately.
Prepare reports as required.
Process guest payments and check-outs within hotel and company policies and procedures.
Ensures proper department uniform, appearance and grooming standards are followed.
Attends all company required training and meetings.
Complies with all Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission Rules and Regulations and any other local, state, or federal guidelines.
Adheres to all safety guidelines.
Meets company attendance requirements.
Must be able to work nights, weekends and holiday.

QUALIFICATIONS

NOTE: Our operations functions seven (7) days a week and twenty four (24) hours per day. All employees must realize this fact and be aware that at times it may be necessary to move an associate from their accustomed shift as business demands.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Essential:
High School graduate or equivalent
College degree, Accounting major preferred
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must obtain and maintain an Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission license.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to effectively communicate in English
Ability to provide legible communication
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Must have Microsoft Office experience and basic computer skills.
