Position Overview

Lakeside Consultants is seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Permit Technician to support operations for the City of Centennial, CO. This position will assist with permit intake, application processing, contractor verification, and general building department support.

This role is ideal for someone experienced in municipal permitting who values professionalism, efficiency, and strong customer service.

Key Responsibilities

· Review incoming permit applications for completeness

· Enter permit data into municipal software systems

· Assist contractors, homeowners, and design professionals with application questions

· Verify contractor licensing and insurance documentation

· Route plans to appropriate reviewers

· Issue permits upon approval

· Maintain accurate records and documentation

· Provide high-level customer service in person, by phone, and via email

Qualifications

· Prior municipal permit technician or building department experience preferred

· Familiarity with IBC, IRC, and related construction codes

· Strong organizational and communication skills

· Ability to manage multiple applications and deadlines

· Experience with permitting software systems preferred

· Professional demeanor and problem-solving mindset

Pay: $35.00 per hour
