Position Summary
Echelon Property Management is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to support operations at Echelon Village, a single-family rental community in Post Falls.
This role is critical to maintaining the quality, safety, and functionality of our homes. The ideal candidate is experienced, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while contributing to a fast-paced team environment. This position requires a strong ability to manage unit turnovers, complete work orders efficiently, and provide a high level of service to residents.
Key Responsibilities
General Maintenance
- Perform routine maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general repairs
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks to reduce emergency repairs
- Assist with groundskeeping, irrigation systems, and seasonal maintenance
Turnover Responsibilities
- Inspect and repair units following tenant move-outs
- Complete painting, cleaning, and necessary repairs to prepare units for new residents
- Ensure homes are move-in ready within established timelines
Work Orders and Repairs
- Complete assigned work orders and track progress through property management software (AppFolio)
- Communicate repair status with management
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and building codes
Vendor Coordination
- Assist with coordinating vendors for specialized repairs
- Support oversight of vendor performance and quality
Emergency Response
- Respond to emergency maintenance issues, including plumbing, HVAC, and electrical
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies
Seasonal Responsibilities
- Perform snow removal, de-icing, and winter preparation
- Assist with irrigation start-up and shut-down
- Maintain exterior areas of the community
Inventory Management
- Maintain tools, equipment, and materials
- Assist with stocking common turnover supplies to ensure efficiency
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience (residential or similar field preferred)
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repair
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license required
Work Schedule
- Full-time position, primarily daytime hours
- Occasional evenings and weekends as needed
- Participation in an on-call rotation for emergency maintenance
Physical Requirements

- Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders, and using tools
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
