Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work directly with individuals on the autism spectrum and other developmental disorders, implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This role is crucial in providing support and education to clients and their families, fostering positive behavioral changes and enhancing quality of life.
Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as directed by the supervising BCBA.
- Collect and record data on client behaviors and progress towards goals.
- Assist in developing care plans tailored to each client's unique needs.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate clients and their families about behavioral therapy techniques and strategies.
- Utilize medical terminology appropriately when discussing client care.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
- Provide ongoing support to clients during therapy sessions, promoting engagement and participation.
Requirements
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is required.
- Experience or education in special education or related fields is preferred.
- Strong skills in data collection and analysis related to behavioral therapy.
- Familiarity with medical documentation practices and terminology.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals on the autism spectrum and other developmental challenges.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for educating clients and families.
