Job Summary:
The Business Analyst II - Transformation, Data Optimization & Post-Collections Support serves as a high-impact strategist who integrates business analysis, data optimization, and systems transformation to accelerate enterprise performance.
Sitting within the IT Department and reporting directly to the Vice President of Transformation, this role partners cross-functionally with Hauling Operations, Post Collections, Finance, IT, Sales, and PMO to ensure systems, processes, and data are optimized for measurable, sustainable results.
Acting as both an analyst and transformation liaison, the BA II designs efficient workflows, bridges communication between departments, and delivers actionable insights that improve operational outcomes, financial performance, and the overall customer experience.

Essential Job Duties:
- Conduct in-depth analysis of business processes, data flows, and system dependencies to identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and automation opportunities.
- Document current-state (as-is) and future-state (to-be) processes, develop detailed functional and technical requirements, and partner with PMO and IT teams to translate findings into executable project deliverables.
- Lead and facilitate stakeholder workshops to define business needs, identify process gaps, and build consensus on functional priorities.
- Drive process improvement initiatives that streamline operations, enhance user experience, and increase organizational efficiency.
- Collaborate with IT and business leaders to evaluate, select, and implement technology solutions that align with business strategy and support scalability.
- Partner with Hauling, Post Collections, Sales, and Finance leaders to define, monitor, and analyze KPIs (e.g., route efficiency, disposal rates, Days Sales Outstanding, dispute resolution cycle times, and sales-to-cash conversion).
- Develop and automate dashboards and performance scorecards that increase transparency across departments and drive data-based accountability.
- Analyze KPI trends to determine whether initiatives are meeting objectives and recommend refinements to achieve target outcomes.
- Maintain and monitor data integrity across enterprise systems, including TRUX, routing, billing, collections, and CRM platforms.
- Perform root-cause analysis of data issues, implement preventive controls, and work with IT, Operations, and Finance to ensure long-term accuracy.
- Leverage analytics tools such as Power BI, Snowflake, and SQL to generate insights that improve operational decision-making and financial performance.
- Support predictive and diagnostic analytics efforts that enable proactive problem-solving, resource planning, and strategic forecasting.
- Collaborate with the Change Management Leader, PMO, and IT to plan, execute, and validate transformation initiatives across the Invoice-to-Cash lifecycle.
- Lead requirements-gathering sessions, develop user stories, and oversee the creation of functional and technical specifications for projects.
- Contribute to business cases that quantify ROI, cost savings, and performance benefits of proposed improvements.
- Provide structured documentation, workflow diagrams, and use cases that guide IT development, testing, and deployment.
- Build and sustain strong partnerships with Hauling, Post Collections, Sales, Operations, Finance, and IT teams to ensure technology initiatives align with business priorities.
- Act as a bridge between field operations, billing, collections, and IT to promote transparency, accountability, and shared ownership of outcomes.
- Participate in strategic discussions to identify opportunities where technology, automation, and data innovation can deliver measurable business value.
- Ensure end-user satisfaction by maintaining open communication and ensuring project deliverables meet operational expectations.
- Support organizational change by developing user guides, SOPs, and communication materials that simplify the adoption of new tools and processes.
- Conduct training sessions for end-users and functional teams to reinforce system knowledge, data standards, and workflow consistency.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, governance standards, and workflows to promote business continuity, audit readiness, and operational excellence.
Scope of Responsibility:
The Business Analyst II has significant accountability for driving cross-functional collaboration, ensuring data accuracy, and improving system performance across Hauling Operations, Post Collections, Finance, Sales, and IT. The analyst independently manages end-to-end analysis, documentation, and solution delivery for assigned transformation initiatives. This position serves as a trusted advisor to business and IT leaders, ensuring that process and technology enhancements align with strategic objectives and deliver measurable value. Decisions and recommendations made in this role directly impact operational efficiency, financial accuracy, and customer experience. The role requires strong analytical judgment, initiative, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights that support enterprise transformation goals.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years' experience.

- Regularly required to talk and hear, both in person and by phone or web meetings.
