Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and compassionate LLPP South Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating engaging, safe, and inclusive classroom environments for young learners. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help ensure that every child receives a quality education, personalized attention, and a positive experience that fosters growth and curiosity.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing educational activities aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and early childhood education principles.
- Support classroom management strategies to promote positive behavior and foster a respectful learning environment
- Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and transitions to ensure safety at all times
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones
- Utilize educational technologies and computers to enhance learning experiences for students
- Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and compliance with State of Michigan Licensing regulations
- Ensure a Christian learning environment, through bible stories and teachings
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings; classroom experience preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development, behavior management, and classroom behavior strategies
- Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration
- Ability to manage classroom behavior positively while ensuring safety and engagement
- Certification in first aid and CPR required or willingness to obtain upon hire
