The ReStore is an integral part of our mission and ministry. We sell new and donated home improvement items and building materials at great prices, with proceeds going to build safe, decent, and affordable homes for families in our community. Donated items are repurposed and reused instead of being sent to a landfill, which benefits our community and our world.
The ReStore Associate is vital to the successful operation of the ReStore. A successful candidate would be expected to uphold the Values of Lakeshore Habitat for Humanity:

Primary Duties - Oversees all logistics operations
· Provides a professional and courteous interaction with donors, striving for an excellent pickup experience
· Donation receiving including evaluation of condition and acceptability of items
· Operation of affiliate vehicles in a safe, lawful, and courteous manner
· Loading, unloading and transportation of donations in a safe, damage free and efficient manner
· Communication with donors to confirm pickup time and donation details
· Operation, cleaning and maintenance of truck
· Unloading and sweeping of truck at end of day
· Anticipating tools, dolly’s and packing blankets needed for scheduled pickups
· Provide donation receipt to customers for items received
· Providing Customer Service at the register as customers check out and are on the sales floor
·Assisting with Merchandising (keeping aisles neatly arranged, cleaning products, placing cabinet sets, furniture, etc.)
· Works alongside volunteers to accomplish daily tasks
Required Qualifications
· Must be committed to the mission and ministry of Lakeshore Habitat for Humanity
· Knowledge of building products, their application and basic installation knowledge
· Warehouse, material processing, or inventory control
· Customer facing retail, sales, or hospitality experience
· Windows computer operation including Microsoft Office Suite
Working Conditions
· Driving/riding in affiliate owned vehicle for donation pickups, with exposure to outdoor weather conditions
· Standing for long periods of time
· Loading and unloading donations which can be over 75 pounds.
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
