Responsibilities
- Manage inventory control by receiving, stocking, and organizing donated items using RF scanners and other inventory management tools
- Load and unload donations and merchandise using pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), and manual handling techniques for heavy lifting
- Assist customers with their purchases, providing excellent customer service through active communication and product knowledge
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the store floor, backroom, and warehouse areas to ensure a safe shopping environment
- Operate cash registers for sales transactions, including cashiering duties with accuracy in retail math calculations
- Support shipping & receiving processes by preparing items for delivery or pickup, ensuring proper packaging and labeling
- Conduct merchandising activities to display products attractively and optimize sales opportunities
- Collaborate with team members on maintenance tasks such as cleaning, stocking, and general store upkeep to ensure smooth daily operations
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse or retail experience preferred; familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in stock control and store presentation
- Excellent communication skills
- Capable of heavy lifting and physical activity required for loading/unloading donations and merchandise
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
- Reliable with good organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
