What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fork Lift Driver position at Lakeshore Beverage?
The Forklift Driver is responsible for operating a forklift to load outbound shipments; move product from the warehouse and into the trucks & trailers safely. This position is accountable for the rotation, order-pulling, and loading of all products, including adherence to first-in, first-out inventory methods, to ensure inventory accuracy and product freshness.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Implement approved Company programs and policies
• Safely execute accurate unloading, rotation and storage of all products on a timely manner
• Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
• Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials or hooks tow trucks to trailer hitch, and transports load to designated area.
• Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.
• Inventories materials on work floor, and supply workers with materials as needed.
• Weighs materials or products and records weight on tags, labels, or production schedules. Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device.
• Lubricates truck, recharges batteries, fills fuel tank, or replaces liquefied gas tank.

Due to the physical requirements, as well as the need to maintain a high level of continual alertness in the work environment, this is a safety-sensitive position.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School diploma/GED
• Class A CDL
