What are the responsibilities and job description for the Center Director position at Lakes Regional Community Center?
Position provides day-to-day supervision and administration of an outpatient psychiatric clinic, as well as provides certain direct services to persons with mental illness. Responsibilities include preparation and implementation of annual clinic budget; supervision of clinic staff; monitoring and evaluation of service delivery; daily facility operations (purchasing, building maintenance, etc); liaison with the community; performing intake evaluations; and determination of eligibility for services. Documents services and client progress, as well as staff performance and clinic operations issues; compiles data and generates reports as required . Must be able to communicate effectively with consumers, staff, and the community. Must be able to plan, assign, and supervise the work of others. Ensures compliance with budgetary and regulatory guidelines of agency, as well as those of state and federal governments.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Requires a Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in counseling, social work, psychology, or other qualified human service field, plus current Texas licensure as LPC, LCSW or LMFT, and five (5) years of work experience. Minimum of five years of experience working in a community mental health or a related field. Must have working computer skills including Microsoft Office. Must have a valid Texas driver's license and acceptable driving record, as well as personal automobile liability insurance as required by the state of Texas.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Four (4) years of full -time experience in responsible positions involving administrative and professional activities within organizations that were large in size of budget or employees; experience with Managed Care; and bilingual skills (English/Spanish).
