Speech Language Pathologist

$2,500 Sign on Bonus ($1,250 paid out at 6 months and $1,250 paid out at 1 year)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. The SLP will evaluate, diagnose, and provide therapy services for individuals with speech, language, and communication. This position works primarily in the educational environment with an additional SLP but will provide trainings and support in the residential environment.  The ideal candidate is collaborative, flexible, and committed to evidence-based practices that support student/client success. This role requires working closely with individuals who may present with mental health and behavioral needs, ensuring therapy approaches are supportive, patient-centered, and trauma-informed.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments to identify speech, language, and fluency.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based interventions.
• Provide therapy services in individual and group settings, tailored to client/student needs.
• Collaborate with families, teachers, mental health providers, and interdisciplinary team members to support communication goals.
• Adapt therapy approaches to meet the needs of clients with behavioral and/or mental health challenges.
• Document progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEPs or care plans.
• Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities.
• Provide education and training to staff and families regarding communication strategies and supports.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred (or eligibility/working toward completion during Clinical Fellowship Year).
• Strong assessment, diagnostic, and intervention skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with families, educators, healthcare professionals, and mental health staff.

Preferred/Bonus Qualifications

• Knowledge of and/or experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems (low-tech and high-tech).
• Experience supporting clients with mental health and behavioral needs using communication strategies that foster regulation and engagement.

Other Job Details:

• Salary: $75,000- $85,000
• Flexible scheduling with typical schedule 9am-5pm Mon- Fri
