Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for Class A Flatbed Drivers based in Lima, NY. Drivers will safely operate CDL Class A trucks with flatbeds to transport precast concrete products to job sites and customer locations across the region. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, securing and tarping loads in compliance with safety standards, and following all DOT regulations and company policies. Drivers will interact with customers and site personnel during deliveries, maintain accurate delivery documentation, and coordinate with dispatch to manage schedules and routes. The role may involve assisting with loading and unloading as needed and representing Lakelands Concrete Products in a professional manner on and off the road.
Qualifications
- Truck Driving and CDL Class A skills, including safe operation of flatbed trucks and adherence to DOT regulations
- Customer Service and Communication skills to interact professionally with clients, site personnel, and internal teams
- Ability to inspect, secure, knowledge of load securement and basic truck maintenance
- Clean driving record and eligibility to pass required background checks and drug/alcohol screenings
- Comfort working in outdoor and construction site environments, with capability to lift and move materials as needed
- Strong time management, reliability, and attention to safety, with willingness to follow company procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in flatbed or construction materials delivery is preferred
