Position Summary
Responsible to the Medical Director/Co-Leader in the Ambulatory environment and the Residency Program Director. The Physician has responsibility for supervising of residents and the provision of care of assigned patients within LRH, and for the care and treatment of patients seen in consultation with other Lakeland Regional Health (LRH) clinical departments. As an active member of the hospital medical staff, the Physician role models the organization’s mission, goals, culture, and vision in all interactions with staff and in the provision of clinical care. As a medical provider, the Physician works with the Residency Program Leadership and other members of the treatment team in the development of clinical programs.

Board Certified or Board Eligible with completion of certification as delineated within Lakeland Regional Health Medical Staff Office Bylaws.
Experience Preferred:
Experience with residency precepting.

Current Florida License to practice Medicine in the State of Florida.

- Actively participates in team development, program meetings, educational activities, achieving dashboards, and in accomplishing department goals and objectives.
- Provides quality clinical care to assigned patients admitted to the various treatment programs. Provides care in keeping with the Bylaws, Rules, and Regulations of LRHMG.
- Carries out job duties in a manner that enhances positive professional relationships with hospital staff, residents, patients, families, and other physicians.
- Responsible for special projects as assigned.
- Works within the multi-disciplinary team structure to facilitate positive treatment outcomes.
- Serves as a clinical supervisor and educator for residents, students, and other clinicians as assigned.
- Strives to develop clinical patient care opportunities that meet the care needs of the Lakeland area and are in keeping with the Mission of the hospital.
- Serves as a role model, mentor, and advisor to residents as needed.
- Provides oversight to the Practice’s Standard Operating Procedures as needed.
- Completes formal evaluation of resident educational and clinical performance at in accordance with the requirements for accreditation and training, the curriculum, and program policies.

Qualifications & Experience
- Medical Degree
- Medical Degree ( M.D. or D.O. ) and accredited Residency training
