Position Summary
This leader has overall responsibility for the quality of care for the patients in Medical Oncology, Surgical Oncology, GYN Oncology, Urological Oncology, and Womens Health & Screening Services, and for the satisfaction of physicians, staff, patients and visitors. S/he oversees staffing of clinics, ensuring appropriate coverage and level of staffing needed to support physicians, clinic schedules, and special procedure rooms. S/he is also expected to formulate a plan for the operation of his/her departments that is in alignment with the Lakeland Regional Cancer Center vision and core purpose/mission, and which supports and is fully integrated with organizational strategic plan and operational goals and objectives. S/he will work collaboratively with other leaders within the Cancer Center and throughout the hospital to achieve department, center and hospital-wide quality, satisfaction, and financial goals.

- Plans, organizes, and manages clinical services for Medical Oncology, Surgical Oncology, GYN Oncology, Urological Oncology, and Womens Health & Screening Services. Oversees staffing of clinics, ensuring appropriate coverage and level of staffing needed to support physicians, clinic schedules, and special procedure rooms.
- Coordinates workflow in clinics and prioritizes and shifts duties as necessary to achieve maximum productivity and efficiency. Cross-trains staff to work in additional clinics when needed Supervises completion of fee ticket processes by clinical staff and other procedures to ensure the revenue cycle charge capture and reconciliation process goals are met
- Ensures compliance with regulations and with clinic standards of quality patient care. Participates in Cancer Center performance improvement activities and initiatives Ensures patient safety goals and infection control standards are achieved throughout the clinics
- Participates in the selection and orientation of new staff ensuring the exchange of appropriate information necessary for the successful performance of duties and responsibilities. Orients new staff as assigned ensuring that appropriate information necessary for the successful performance of duties and responsibilities and enhancing employee retention efforts
- Ensures clinic schedule templates are maintained to promote efficiencies in practices and customer satisfaction Actively participates in projects and activities that promote achievement of quality, financial, and strategic goals. Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor Degree
- Master Degree
- Completion of the LRH Management Orientation within the specified period. Bachelors degree in nursing
- Masters preferred
- Basic Cardiac Life Support
