Qualifications
- Lakeland Joint School District is seeking a strong, compassionate, and professional Armed District Safety Specialist who is committed to building positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. The ideal candidate will demonstrate sound judgment, strong communication skills, and a background in law enforcement.
- Strong law enforcement background
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and families
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional demeanor with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Possession of an Enhanced Concealed Weapons Permit
Prior to employment, selected candidates must successfully complete:
- Polygraph examination
- Psychological evaluation
- Physical fitness evaluation
- Criminal background check
- Work schedules will generally follow the school calendar, with additional required training during summer months.
