What are the responsibilities and job description for the After School Supervision Staff position at Lakeland Christian School?
The After School Supervision Worker provides care and supervision for students in K3 through fifth grade during the after-school program on school days. This individual assists the Director of Supervision with the daily operations of the program and helps create a safe, engaging, and Christ-centered environment for students.

- Be a born-again believer who demonstrates a commitment to Christian education.
- Be in agreement with the Lakeland Christian School Statement of Faith and staff qualifications.
- Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Background in education and/or college coursework in recreation or education (completed or in progress) is preferred, but not required.
- Childcare or student supervision experience is preferred, but not required.
- Uphold and ensure compliance with all LCS policies and procedures.
- Assist the Director of Supervision in providing a safe and healthy environment for students in the after-school program.
- Maintain accurate student attendance records.
- Assist with supervising play activities, homework time, and other scheduled activities as directed by the Director of Supervision.
- Help enforce safety rules and appropriate student behavior.
- Communicate with the Director of Supervision regarding difficult student behavior or concerns.
- Assist with snack time supervision and organization.
- Help clean and prepare rooms and activity areas for the following school day.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Supervision.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and the ability to work well with others.
- Serve as a Christ-like role model for students in the program.
- Create an enriching, fun, and safe environment for children.
- Demonstrate effective communication and organizational skills.
- Work is performed while standing, sitting, and walking throughout scheduled work time.
- Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
- Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
- Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds.
- Is subject to normal inside and outside environmental conditions.
- Mental acuity to perform the essential functions of this position.
