What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Assistant ER Overnight position at Lakefield Veterinary Group?
We are seeking and experienced ER veterinary assistant.
Overnight shifts available are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 7:30pm-7:30am.

Skills Required:
- Phlebotomy and other laboratory collection methods
- Processing in-house as well as out lab samples; IDEXX, Urinalysis, Cytology
- Knowledge of basic emergency procedures and ability to set up for incoming cases
- Medical record-keeping and invoicing
- Cash handling, POS, obtaining deposits for financial estimates
- Intake and Discharge of patients
- Recognizing changes in status and conditions of hospitalized patients
- Ability to communicate well with a team and report to a senior staff member or DVM on shift
- Following directions both verbally communicated and written.
- Basic understanding of treatment/flow sheets
- All aspects of veterinary nursing care not mentioned above
- Other tasks to be assigned by DVM on shift or management as indicate
Job Types: Full-time, Part -time
Shifts: Overnight shift, 12 hour shifts available.
