Position Summary
The Cleaning Technician is responsible for the cleaning, staging, and preparation of vacation rental homes between guest stays. This role ensures each property meets LakeDays.Rentals’ cleanliness, presentation, and readiness standards so guests arrive to a space that feels cared for, comfortable, and inviting.
Cleaning Technicians work independently and as part of a team, following detailed systems and checklists while taking pride in their work and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize vacation rental homes according to established standards and checklists
- Perform detailed cleaning of kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, and common spaces
- Provide laundry support per protocol, including stocking, restocking, and properly placing clean linens and towels; occasional laundry duties may be required
- Stage homes with correct furniture placement, décor, amenities, and supplies
- Inspect properties for cleanliness, damage, missing items, or maintenance concerns
- Report issues, supply needs, or irregularities promptly through company systems
- Follow safety procedures, chemical usage guidelines, and equipment instructions
- Secure homes upon completion of cleaning and staging
- Maintain professionalism when working in guest-ready properties and residential communities
- Assist with additional turnover or operational tasks as needed

Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Proof of valid auto insurance
- Reliable personal vehicle for travel between properties
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Prior cleaning or hospitality experience is helpful but not required
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move items weighing a minimum of 40 pounds
- Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching for extended periods
- Repetitive motions including cleaning, lifting, and carrying
- Working in indoor environments with exposure to cleaning products
- Ability to work in varying home layouts, including stairs and multiple levels
- Ability to safely navigate stairs while carrying items
- Ability to traverse uneven exterior surfaces at properties
