As LAKE’s Design Intern, you will support the Design team throughout the product development process, helping organize and accelerate key design workflows while gaining hands-on experience within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
You will...
- Support the Design team throughout the product development lifecycle by assisting with the creation and maintenance of seasonal line sheets using Adobe Illustrator.
- Assist designers with recoloring artwork and preparing artwork tech packs and handoff materials as needed.
- Support the preparation of presentation concept boards used to communicate seasonal ideas and design direction.
- Organize and maintain the design archive, ensuring files, artwork, and assets are properly stored and accessible.
- Manage SMS samples, including organizing and tracking incoming samples and assisting with sample check-ins.
- Conduct research and development support for seasonal concepts, including inspiration gathering and competitive brand awareness.
- Assist with preparation and setup for key milestone meetings and design presentations.
- Provide general support to the Design team as needed to help ensure projects stay organized and on schedule.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems and programs.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing deadlines and shifting priorities.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with the e-commerce landscape and awareness of competing brands within the market.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
