Maintenance Technician III- Job Description
Title: Maintenance Technician III (Lead)
Status: Exempt

Hourly Compensation:
Level III Technician $18 and up
Job Summary:
The Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for teaching, guiding, and supervising junior maintenance technicians in correctly performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on equipment. All maintenance activities are to be conducted in accordance with company guidelines, including preventative, emergency, cosmetic and routine maintenance to insure the safest and most practical methods are implemented to maximize the safety and compliance with all regulatory agencies for all rides, equipment, and facilities.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 75 lbs. consistently with heavier weight necessary at times.
- Physical exertion such as frequent bending, twisting, stretching, stooping, and reaching overhead.
- Standing and walking for long periods on surfaces such as uneven surfaces and hard flooring.
- Working at high altitudes up to 140 feet and potentially hazardous conditions.
- Varying work hours extending up to eighteen (18) hour workdays under some circumstances.
- Working out of doors in all weather conditions in a wide range of temperatures.
- Working with chemicals and other cleaning agents.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces for extended periods of time
Qualifications:

Safety:
- Promote and practice safe work practices at all times.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
- Adhere to company, state and federal safety standards and regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform daily pre-opening inspection of all rides.
- Technicians must provide their own tools up to 1 ¼".
- Maintain accurate ride inspection records for daily, weekly, monthly, annual, and other inspections of equipment and general preventative maintenance
- Responsible for inspections, preventive/predictive maintenance, troubleshooting and reacting to unplanned maintenance needs for all rides, machinery, and facilities.
- Performs other related duties as required.
- Schedule task and employees in relation to completion goals.
- Complete, sign, and store all inspection forms as required by company retention policy.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Basic repair and maintenance techniques and practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical problems as they arise.
- Ability to establish priorities, works independently, and proceeds with objectives without supervision.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Valid drivers license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to operate all equipment on park property.
Experience:
- High school diploma or GED certificate is desired.
- Minimum of two years work experience with Lake Winnepesaukah.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must hold position of Maintenance Technician II for one consecutive year or equivalent.
- Must receive AIMS or NAARSO Maintenance Technician II certification or equivalent before advancing.
Holiday and Vacation Pay
Lake Winnepesaukah Amusements has 5 Paid Holidays: Thanksgiving. the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve.
The company will be closed for an identified two-week period at Christmas. Employees who have been employed with the company continually for the preceding 6 months will be paid 1-week vacation during this time based on their current status of full time or part time. Employees who have been employed continually for over 1 year will be paid for 2 weeks.
Employees who have been employed full time for 5 years or more are entitled to 1 additional week vacation. This time may not be taken during the operating season and does not accumulate to a succeeding year.
- Vacation time must be approved by management.
- Employee should give notice of least 2 weeks prior to vacation.
Special Requirements:
Maintenance Technicians must be willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as requested by management.
Salary : $20 - $25
