Title: Maintenance Technician Level I

Status: Exempt

Reports to: Maintenance Manager

Hourly Compensation:

Level 1 Technician $10 - $14

Job Summary:

Maintenance Interns are responsible for assisting in performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on various types of equipment; taking part in a wide variety of maintenance duties including preventative, emergency, cosmetic and routine maintenance to ensure safe and practical methods are used to maximize safety and compliance will all regulatory agencies for all rides, equipment, and facilities.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 75 lbs. consistently with heavier weight necessary at times.

• Physical exertion such as frequent bending, twisting, stretching, stooping, and reaching overhead.
• Standing and walking for long periods on surfaces such as uneven surfaces and hard flooring.
• Working at high altitudes up to 140 feet and potentially hazardous conditions.
• Varying work hours extending up to eighteen (18) hour workdays under some circumstances.
• Working out of doors in all weather conditions in a wide range of temperatures.
• Working with chemicals and other cleaning agents.

Safety:

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist maintenance technicians in performing daily pre-opening inspection of all rides.
• Help maintain accurate ride inspection records as instructed for daily, weekly, monthly, annual, and other inspections of equipment and general preventative maintenance
• Assist in inspections, preventive/predictive maintenance, troubleshooting and reacting to unplanned maintenance needs for all rides, machinery, and facilities.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Basic repair and maintenance techniques and practices.
• Display a willingness to learn how to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical problems as they arise.
• Ability to establish priorities, works independently, and proceeds with objectives without supervision.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Valid drivers license with a satisfactory driving record.
