CNA/HCA/BHT - Full-Time, NOC Position

The Lake Whatcom Residential & Treatment Center is hiring for two experienced Home Care Aides/Certified Nursing Assistants/ Behavioral Health Technicians for our Maplewood Enhanced Services Facility (ESF) and new Birchwood multi-disciplinary care center. This posting is for a full-time night shift position.

Starting Salary shown is for minimum applicable experience - Additional experience will raise the initial offered rate. Additionally, hours worked between 11 pm and 7 am are paid an additional $2/hr shift differential.

Position will be responsible for assisting our residents with daily activities including transferring and toileting, bed checks, and med passes.

Minimum Qualifications:

Home Care Aide/Certified Nursing Assistant/Behavioral Health Technician certification from WA state Department of Health, in good standing.

A High School Diploma or equivalent, plus experience in work with special needs populations, AA or BA in Human Services related disciplines preferred.

Good organizational skills, ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Ability to work cooperatively in a team approach;

Ability to apply a Recovery based approach and to apply clinical knowledge;

Good verbal and written communication skills, basic computer skills.

Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion;

Visual and auditory skills required to communicate, to ensure and deliver client care, and to provide documentation of care;

Requires frequent standing, bending at the knees and waist, kneeling and reaching; Requires frequent walking to accomplish tasks; Requires ability to lift 50 pounds.

Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR, and successful completion of Boarding Home training requirements (WAC 388-112).

Employment is contingent on successful fingerprint background check.
